European EN Standard Grade Summary

There are now a large number of EN standard for stainless steel. It is not always easy to know which grades belong to which standard. This article is designed to provide a quick guide to check which standard a particular grade appears in.

Whilst not an exhaustive list, the most common EN standard and a few which are quite specialised are covered.

This opens up a spreadsheet. The spreadsheet allows you to sort the list of grades in numerical order or by type. If you use this facility you will get a Security warning about Macros. Choose the option Enable Macros. The spreadsheet also contains cross references between the EN numbering system and the AISI system or generic/brand names.
