Inconel 600 Tube | Alloy 600 Tubing | B163 B167 N06600
Inconel 600 Tube, Alloy 600 Tubing, ASTM B163 B167 ASME SB163 SB167 N06600 Inconel 600 DIN 17751 2.4816 is a nickel-chromium alloy used for applications that require corrosion and high temperature resistance. This nickel alloy was designed for service temperatures from cryogenic to elevated temperatures in the range of 1090°C (2000°F). It is non-magnetic, has excellent mechanical properties, and presents the desirable combination of high strength and good weldability under a wide range of temperatures.
The high nickel content in UNS N06600 enables it to retain considerable resistance under reducing conditions, makes it resistant to corrosion by a number of organic and inorganic compounds, gives it excellent resistance to chloride-ion stress-corrosion cracking and also provides excellent resistance to alkaline solutions. Typical applications of this nickel alloy include the chemical, pulp and paper, aerospace, nuclear engineering and heat treating industries.

Inconel 600 Tube, Alloy 600 Tubing Corrosion resistance
Alloy 600 have corrosion resistance to many kinds of corrosive media. Chromium content made it with better corrosion resistance than Nickel 99.2 (alloy 200) and Nickel 99.2 (alloy 201,low carbon) in the oxidize environment. Meantime, high Nickel content make this alloy with good corrosion resistance in the reduction condition and alkaline solution, and also effective avoid chlorine-iron stress corrosion cracking. 600 have good corrosion resistance in the acid, acetic acid, formic acid, stearic acid and other organic acid, with medium corrosion resistance in the inorganic acid.
The alloy with excellent corrosion resistance in the first and the second recycling use of the high purity water in the nuclear reactor. Especially excellent corrosion resistance to dry chlorine and chlorine hydride applied up to 65 °C. When nder the high temperature, annealing and state solution alloy have good antioxidant off and high-intensity in the air, alloy 600 can resist the ammonia, nitriding and carburizing atmosphere, but at the turn of the changes in redox conditions, it will be corrosion by parts of oxidation media.
The high nickel content of alloy 600 2.4816 provide good resistance to moderate levels of reducing conditions. The nickel content of the alloy renders the alloy extremely resistant to chloride stress corrosion cracking. Alloy 600 is one alloy used in solutions of magnesium chloride. In strong oxidizing solutions like hot, concentrated nitric acid, Alloy 600 has poor resistance.
Alloy 600 2.4816 is relatively unattacked by the majority of neutral and alkaline salt solutions. It is used in some caustic environments.
Inconel 600 Tube, Alloy 600 Tubingresists steam and mixtures of steam, air, and carbon dioxide.
The nickel content of the alloy renders it subject to attack at elevated temperatures in sulfur-containing atmospheres.
