SA213 TP316H stainless steel is a variation of the 16% chromium – 10 -14% nickel austenitic Alloy 316, in which the carbon content is controlled to a range of 0.04% – 0.10% (according to ASME SA213) to provide improved high temperature strength to parts exposed to temperatures in 610 °C [1130°F] .

ASME SA213 TP316H Stainless Steel Tubes Properties and Character
Unlike 316L, TP316H has a higher carbon content making the steel more suitable for use in applications where elevated temperatures are present. It is an Austenitic chromium nickel molybdenum steel alloy and the greater carbon content delivers an increased tensile strength and yield strength. The material is recommended for use in ASME pressure vessel in working service 610 °C [1130°F] due to the grade’s heat resistant properties.
SA213 TP316H has greater short term and long term creep strength than 316L at temperature up to 500 °C, and 316H is more resistant to sensitization than 316L. 316H is required in such applications.
TP316H Stainless Steel Tubes and Pipes Application
Alloy 316H is most commonly used in petroleum refineries.
