ISO8062 BS6615 Iron Steel Rough Casting Tolerance Standard
ISO Tolerances For Fasteners | ISO Tolerance Chart | ISO & Metric Standards | ISO Steel Pipe Tube and Fittings Standard | ISO 2768 | ISO 8062 BS6615 Casting Tolerance Standard | Rough Casting Tolerance
What standard can be used for the rough casting tolerance for iron and steel materials? How to choose suitable casting process for your iron and steel casting? Which casting process is suitable to your products?
Refer to the following table, you will find what tolerance grade can be reached by every casting process. We have referred to the standard of ISO 8062:1994, SFSA200 and BS6615:1996. and we hope these information will be helpful for you to choose a suitable casting process.
As for the imperial (inch) tolerance standard, please refer to Rough Casting Tolerance by Inch. The deviation of rough casting dimensions are related with the strength of molding sand, compactness of sand mold, liquid iron temperature, chemical components, moisture of sand and workers' operation. Any small factor may cause the deviation of dimensions. Sometimes, too strict requirements are not realistic. Some level of deviation is inevitable although we also try our best to control the deviation as small as possible.

For sizes up to 16 mm, general tolerances form CT 13 to CT16 are not available. For these sizes individual tolerances shall be indicated.
Grade 16 exists only for wall thicknesses of castings generally specified to CT15. |
