One of the problems identified operation of boilers with working pressure of 13.8 MPa (140 kgf / cm 2 ) is the low reliability of the coil output and the proximity with packages superheaters.

The reason for this is used in its construction material - chromium-nickel-titanium steel austenitic 12H18N12T. It does not provide a specified resource 100000 hours due to the rapidly emerging intergranular corrosion. Real life is about 60000 - 80000 hours, necessitating premature replacement of heating surfaces of the expensive material, frequent shutdowns for repairs and reduce the load of the boiler.

By solving this problem is to replace the material used.

In the late 80-ies TSNIITMASH developed a new economically alloyed austenitic steel hromomargantsevuyu 10H13G12BS2N2D2 (DI59).

The application of this steel provides the specified resource superheater heating surfaces (100,000 hours) and reliable operation of boilers.

This steel was tested TSNIITMASH in operating conditions in real boilers and has established itself with the best hand.

Steel DI59 included in the newly developed TU 14-3R-55-2001 for the manufacture of pipes.

Steel DI59 allowed to use GGTN Russia for the manufacture of boilers elements (changing number 2 to the Rules of construction and safe operation of steam and hot water boilers, entered with 01.10.2000g.).

According to the order of RAO UES of Russia № 142 of 29.03.2001g. On priority measures to improve the reliability UES of Russia, Section 2.99.2. provides that all companies of energy during 2001. should develop a program to replace the heating surfaces (superheaters) 12H18N12T of steel on steel DI59 replacements during repair, reconstruction, those. rearmament and new construction.
