Nimonic 75 UNS N06075 2.4951 2.4630 Alloy

Nimonic Alloy 75 (UNS N06075) is a nickel-chromium alloy with good mechanical properties and oxidation resistance at high temperature. Alloy 75 is most commonly used for sheet metal fabrications which require oxidation and scaling resistanc together with medium strength at high operating temperature.  Alloy 75 is also used in gas turbine engines, for components of industria furnaces, for heat treating equipment and fixtures, and in nuclear engineering.

Alloy Wire International Ltd. is a U.K. wire manufacturer specialising in the production of high performance alloys, mainly Nickel Alloys, but including Cobalt and Titanium Alloys. These alloys might be used in any environment that requires resistance to heat and corrosion but where the mechanical properties of the metal must be retained. Nimonic 75 Nimonic 75 is a Nickel-Chromium alloy with good corrosion resistance and heat resistance.

Nimonic 75 is a grade of Nimonic that is used in applications where corrosion resistance and heat resistant is key. Aerospace fasteners, for instance, include Nimonic 75 because it can withstand the huge amounts of pressure and high temperature found in such applications. It is often used for sheet-metal fabrications in gas-turbine engines, for components of industrial furnaces, for heat treating equipment and fixtures, and in nuclear engineering.

NIMONIC® alloy 75 is an 80/20 nickel-chromium alloy with controlled additions of titanium and carbon. First introduced in the 1940s for turbine blades in the prototype Whittle jet engines, it is now mostly used for sheet applications calling for oxidation and scaling resistance coupled with medium strength at high operating temperature. It is still used in gas turbine engineering and also for industrial thermal process, furnace component and heat-treatment equipment. It is readily fabricated and welded.
