EN 10088-3 Mechanical of Martensitic and Precipitation Hardening Long Products
EN 10088-3 gives the mechanical properties for stainless steel semi-finished products, bars, rods and sections for general purposes. This article covers martensitic and precipitation hardening stainless steel. The properties given are proof strength, tensile strength, elongation and hardness.
BS EN 10088-3 was originally published in 1995. The second, current version, BS EN 10088-3:2005, has superseded BS EN 10088-3:1995, which was withdrawn by BSi on 20th June 2005.
The tables shown here only have the 2005 tensile strength property ranges of the martensitic and precipitation hardening steels. New grades have been added as follows:
Two standard martensitic grades1.4419, 1.4110
Three special martensitic grades 1.4035, 1.4123, 1.4415
Three new special precipitation hardening grades 1.4530, 1.4596, 1.4606.
The mechanical properties of the 1995 grades were changed for grades:
1.4031 and 1.4034 - properties added for hardened and tempered condition and 1.4313 - condition QT650 replaced by QT700
This article does not include bright products. These were introduced in the 2005 edition.
